Green Bay

I grew up in Green Bay, Wisconsin - the land of cheese, long underwear, and, of course, football. Like many veterinarians, I was drawn to animals from a young age - from the little squirrel that visited our backyard to the worms that begged (figuratively) to be saved from the pavement after a heavy rain.  My childhood kitties made a huge impact on me as a kid and I knew I wanted to work with animals in some capacity when I became older.  

While working on my undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, I was fortunate enough to be able to help with wildlife rehab at the Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary.  The experiences gained at the Sanctuary further cemented my love of animals and veterinary medicine.  In 2016, I graduated as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Wisconsin - Madison and spent several years in general practice caring for families' beloved dogs and cats.  

As a general practitioner, I loved helping all the puppies and kittens but found I gravitated towards our older, more seasoned pet population.  Helping them age gracefully into their senior years and working with their families to provide the best care possible was incredibly rewarding.  It was then that I discovered my interest in end-of-life care and veterinary hospice.  

It is truly a privilege to be a part of the Lap of Love team and provide that compassionate and kind end-of-life care.  That connection with families and their beloved pets during the hardest times is something truly beautiful to behold.  It is an honor to preserve that special bond and to provide our cherished pets a peaceful passing in the comfort of their home - surrounded by their favorite people and all of the wonderful memories made together.  

Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, reading, and spending quality time with my family and pets — a small, mostly manageable herd of cats and an anxious beagle with a heart of gold (also, figuratively).
