Jackson and Surrounding Areas

I was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, but raised as a small town Mississippi girl with big dreams of becoming a veterinarian one day. I knew I wanted to be a veterinarian since I was a pre-teen. I loved animals and wanted to spend my life helping them in some way. I began my veterinary career by cleaning kennels at the age of fifteen and continued to learn about veterinary medicine by working relevant jobs throughout high school and a few summers in college. It was during this time that I witnessed first hand the incredible strength of the human-animal bond. I graduated undergrad from Mississippi State University with a B.S., Biological Science Major, Magna Cum Laude. Then was blessed to join the Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine to continue the education I had dreamt about for so many years.

Upon graduation, I accepted a general practice veterinary position in Memphis, TN. One short year later, I returned to my hometown of Madison, MS, and have offered general practice relief veterinary services around the greater Jackson area for over 10 years. I love being able to connect with and educate families on responsible pet ownership. It’s a blessing to watch and grow close with every family through this amazing journey. Pets are family and they should be treated as such. I joined Lap of Love because I believe every creature deserves to leave this life with kindness and dignity, and I feel honored to be given the tremendous responsibility to provide that for my patients. 

In my spare time, I am a crazy craft lady. I love to make (or attempt) anything that catches my eye on Pinterest! My husband and I stay quite busy raising our two amazing boys and our two fluffy dogs, who enjoy country living just as much as the kids.
